A Bummer of a Tail

The other day I went into the operating theatre to help out with an operation to remove a dog's tail. When I went in, the dog had a piece of tape on his forehead with his name written on it. I asked the other nurse why in the world it was there, and she said, "It's to remind us to take the stitches out of his arse before he goes home." They had stitched him up so that he couldn't poo in his incision during the operation! It would be bad news if the stitches had been forgotten and left in.
